The consortium CIDIR which is formed of 15 municipalities, Pinhalzinho, Saudades, Nova Erechim, Águas Frias, Modelo, Sul Brasil, Serra Alta, Bom Jesus do Oeste, São Carlos, Águas de Chapecó, Campo Erê, Saltinho, Cunha Porã, Cunhataí and Nova Itaberaba, has organized, along with LUQUIP’S, representative for Santa Catarina State a full training program. The consortium owns an asphalt plant and one paver from BOMAG MARINI and had its´ team trained on main paving processes including the basic concept of the equipment to its application, operation, history and status of current technology.

In an interview, Lau Getúlio Triches, coordinator of the consortium commented upon the importance of the investment in qualification. According to him: “It is essential that the work team is synchronized, and that everybody understands the operation as a whole.” During the 40 hours’ training the participants could exchange experiences and understand the basic nature of the work focusing upon quality in a paving construction work. The consortium executes works which are concerned with the building and recovery of streets, avenues and industrial yards of the 15 cities, and the asphalt plant has already produced more than 200,000 tons of asphaltic mixture.
